According to media reports it seems likely that the Guernsey Aircraft Registry which is due to launch later this year may become a Channel Islands Aircraft Registry in order to include Jersey as well as Guernsey.
We would in principal welcome such a move as it would seem logical for the two islands to combine efforts in developing a workable joint registry solution.
We understand from media reports that Jersey's Chief Minister has said that a formal announcement will be made soon regarding Guernsey and Jersey having a combined registry and we shall provide further updates on the situation.
Regardless of whether there are combined or separate aircraft registers for Guernsey and Jersey we here at Oceanskies look forwarding to supporting any initiatives in this area and to assisting owners and their advisers with any aircraft registration related enquiries that they might have.
