I studied Computer Science at King’s College London, and a long-standing love of building things with code led me to Oceanskies, where I started as a full stack software developer and have since grown into a data engineer.
Most of my work sits where our systems meet our data. I help develop and modernise the Crew Portal and our accounting platforms, untangling older code and building the pipelines that keep crew, vessel and financial information accurate and moving across the business.
I also look after our financial and payments integrations whilst also working on linking us up with international banking and FX partners to make crew payroll smoother wherever in the world it needs to land. On top of that, I’ve been heavily involved in the use of AI-assisted development tools, which has changed how quickly the team can ship.
Outside of work, I watch and play a fair bit of sport — football and tennis especially — and when I get the chance I teach karate at my local club. The rest of my time tends to go on spending time with family and friends.
