A completely reimagined user experience

The CrewMate platform consists of the CrewOS manager portal and the crew focused CrewMate mobile app.

The CrewOS frontend has been rebuilt from the ground up, delivering a faster, smoother and more intuitive experience. More considered workflows, instant feedback alerts, smarter navigation and searchable tables throughout mean less time hunting for information and more time running the yacht.

Expanded MLC-compliance with hours of work & rest

Regulatory compliance is non-negotiable and CrewMate v1.5 continues to expand the compliance feature set to cover hours of work and rest. Crew can log hours directly through the app, with optional alarms to prompt clock-ins and clock-outs.

Captains and managers retain full oversight via the CrewOS portal with the ability to add, edit, approve or decline records for the entire vessel in one place. When the month closes, CrewMate automatically generates a signed-ready PDF of all crew hours, keeping you audit-ready without the paperwork headache.

Streamlined expense management

Expense administration is now fully centralised: Crew can submit expenses on the go through the mobile app, while Captains and managers review and approve everything in the CrewOS portal. Customisable expense categories mean CrewMate’s records align with each yacht’s own financial systems, reducing reconciliation time and the risk of errors. Summary badges give an at-a-glance view of expense categories, making approvals faster than ever.

Smarter leave management

The updated leave calendar gives crew visibility of their leave across their entire period of employment, while managers can view and update the full crew leave schedule from the portal. Customisable day types and inline accrual balance information mean there’s no need to toggle between different sections of the portal to gather this key data.

Secure, efficient contract management

Crew contracts and terminations are requested, processed and delivered within CrewMate so that no sensitive data is exchanged over email.

Real-time payroll status

An improved monthly status page gives Captains and managers instant visibility over payroll progress, from invoice issuance and fund receipt through to individual salary payments. No chasing, no uncertainty; just a clear, up-to-date picture of where things stand.

Crew wellbeing built in

The CrewMate App includes an always available link to ISWAN’s YachtCrewHelp service. As awareness of mental health and wellbeing at sea continues to grow across the industry, having immediate access to confidential, professional support is a meaningful benefit for crew and a signal to your team that their welfare matters.

A platform built upon industry experience

The team behind CrewMate includes ex-Captains and former yacht crew who understand the realities of life onboard, working alongside maritime employment, HR and compliance specialists with decades of experience providing shoreside support.
