Oceanskies are pleased to offer a special USD 2,995.00 'Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show' all-inclusive fixed price Cayman Islands yacht registration package for any private under 24 metre sail or motor yacht lying in South Florida including all initial Oceanskies and Cayman Islands Ship Registry fees as well as vessel tonnage survey in South Florida.

The 'box' will include:

  • Cayman Islands Certificate of British Registry

  • Cayman Islands National Tonnage Certificate

  • Cayman Islands radio licence with allocated Call Sign and MMSI

  • Tonnage plate and undefaced Red Ensign (3’x2’)

  • Vinyl adhesive lettering at correct regulation size for vessel name and port of registry

The Cayman Islands are the number one offshore register for super yachts, with an estimated 15% of the world fleet of yachts over 30m (100ft). In the range of yachts over 40m (130ft), some 20% of the world’s fleet is registered in the Cayman Islands.

Reasons why Cayman is so popular is that it offers the key following advantages:

  • Cayman is a neutral, politically stable and well-regarded jurisdiction that has been white-listed as a transparent and well-regulated offshore finance centre

  • Member of the coveted ‘Red Ensign Group’ of British ship registries and Cayman yacht registration enables the prestigious red ensign to be flown

  • Government funded, operated, backed and staffed ship registry

  • Neutral port of registry marked on the vessel, with GEORGE TOWN, holding the reputation of a quality register that is familiar to port and customs authorities around the world, (other port choices in the Cayman Islands are BLODDY BAY or THE CREEK)

  • High service levels driven by a customer first service ethos resulting in quick turnaround of applications

  • Cayman registration is valid internationally and documentation issued in English so widely understood

  • Part I of the Cayman register provides proof of title and enables the owner to register a mortgage on the vessel

  • British Consular services and support are available to Cayman registered vessels when sailing internationally

  • Flexibility of manning regulations on private yachts over 24 metres in length

The Cayman Islands registration will also assist in qualification for the operation of the vessel under a Cruising Licence when operating in the USA - we have an online guide to the US cruising licence here:

Ryan Fallaize, James Hughes and Duncan Swanson will be representing Oceanskies at the show - to meet them at the show and/or  to take advantage of this promotion please do not hesitate to contact us.
