Oceanskies Launches Guernsey Superyacht Visitor Guide

Guernsey based yacht and aircraft registration and crew employment / payroll agency Oceanskies Limited have launched a new guide to aimed at further increasing the number of yachts visiting their island home.

Oceanskies Limited was established in 2013 and is based in the heart of St. Peter Port harbour at the main fuel berth.

The company recognised an untapped opportunity to promote Guernsey as a destination for large yachts and through active promotion of Guernsey and the Channel Islands at boat shows around the world and through their client base and network of marine industry contacts the Oceanskies has significantly grown the number of larger visiting yachts to local waters.

In parallel with our efforts to market the island as an attractive large yacht destination a division was created within the company to act as local port agents for visiting yachts over 20 metres in length.

When we started in 2013 we handled approximately 10 visiting yachts and in 2018 we were responsible for the visit of 53 yachts to the island generating significant income for Guernsey and placing the island firmly on the map as the 'go-to' stopover destination for yachts navigating in the western waters of the English Channel.

Oceanskies welcome enquiries from any yacht that may be considering a visit to the Channel Islands whether as a technical stop over for duty free fuel, and/or export and/or delivery voyages and/or with guests onboard as part of a Northern European cruising itinerary.

For the 2019 season Oceanskies is in the process of commissioning its own new build 13 metre dorey to assist with the handling of visiting yachts.

The new Guernsey superyacht visitor guide provides yacht owners, crew and managers with useful information such as berthing possibilities and details of our customs clearance, duty free fuel and agency services.

The guide can be downloaded from the Oceanskies website at www.old.oceanskies.com by clicking on the following link:
