Oceanskies Expands with a New Presence in Dubai

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of Oceanskies into the Middle East with the establishment of Oceanskies Dubai and the appointment of Ryan Fallaize as Director. This move strengthens our global presence and reinforces our commitment to delivering premier yachting services worldwide.

Dubai is rapidly emerging as a top destination for high-net-worth individuals drawn to its tax benefits, luxury lifestyle, and world-class infrastructure. In 2024 alone, nearly 7,000 millionaires relocated to Dubai - almost double the number moving to the second-ranked destination, the United States.

Beyond its growing residential appeal, Dubai welcomed over 16 million tourists in 2024 and has been named the world's top global destination for the fourth consecutive year in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards. This continuous influx of visitors has fuelled an exceptionally active yacht charter market at all levels.

Mirroring the success of its real estate and automotive sectors, Dubai's yachting industry is experiencing remarkable growth. Investment from international and local shipyards, marinas, and service providers underscores the region’s increasing demand for luxury yachting services. The prospect of mega-projects like Palm Jebel Ali and the expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport further enhance Dubai’s appeal to expatriates and investors.

Dubai’s government has proactively supported the maritime industry, with the Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA) streamlining entry, immigration, and permission processing for foreign yachts. Additionally, new developments in the Red Sea, such as NEOM’s Sindalah Islands, are making the Middle East an attractive alternative to the Caribbean for winter yachting.
