Guernsey’s location at the Southwestern approaches of the English Channel makes its principal harbour of St. Peter Port and ideal stopover location for yachts that are either on delivery, in transit or cruising Northern European waters with guests onboard.

Oceanskies are the only port agents in Guernsey who are located within the harbour who specialise solely in the handling of yachts.

As agents we organise harbour and customs clearances, berthing and/or anchoring allocation, harbour pilots, linesmen and garbage disposal for visiting yachts.

We have our own Oceanskies tender which can be used by us to come out to vessels at anchor.

Fuel can be supplied at a competitive rate. There is no VAT in Guernsey and all MGO fuel is duty and tax free regardless of whether the vessel is a private or commercial yacht.

We can also receive stores or equipment to our address in Guernsey in advance of the vessel’s arrival to go onboard as well as assisting with crew changes as part of a full range of concierge services.

This Guernsey Guide to Berthing provides information on berthing and anchorage arrangements in more detail.

Number 1 Berth

Number 1 Berth can accommodate vessels of 60m and longer in length up to a maximum of 135m.

This berth is also ideal for fuelling, allowing two trucks to be parked alongside to ‘piggy back’ for fast fuelling.

Shore access would need to be via tender to the nearest pontoon, or if tied up on the portside, access can be via a stern passerelle.

Spring Low Water has a minimum depth clearance of approx. 5.8m.

Pilotage will be required on entrance and exit for vessels greater than 40m.
