Oceanskies Moves Into New Offices With 'En-Suite' Fuel Berth

Oceanskies is pleased to announce that we have moved into new offices located on the Castle Emplacement in the heart of St. Peter Port harbour.

The offices are located within the Boatworks+ building. Boatworks+ is the island's leading provider of chandlery and marine services in Guernsey and is the only boatyard in St. Peter Port harbour offering a full range of one-stop marine trade services are available from commercial and leisure boat slipping up to 50 tonnes to emergency repairs and general vessel maintenance.

Boatworks+ also operate the dock-side fuelling berths both in the main St. Peter Port harbour and the QE2 marina providing duty-free diesel to all yachts regardless of whether they are commercial or private yachts on the basis that all diesel in Guernsey is duty-free when sold and used for marine purposes.

The fuel berth is located alongside the new offices of Oceanskies and is capable of accommodating yachts up to approximately 50 metres in length. Large yachts can also usually be accommodated in the commercial area of the harbour.

The relocation of Oceanskies to St. Peter Port comes as it seeks to promote the island as a viable destination for superyachts stopping off on their way up or down the English Channel. So far in 2013 Oceanskies has, as yacht agents, welcomed four superyachts to the island and is actively looking to grow this number in 2014.

Oceanskies is able to assist yachts visiting Guernsey by arranging berthing and the handling of all customs, export and immigration formalities either as a stand-alone service or as part of its range of yacht registration services.

We have experience of working closely with many of the major UK and Northern European shipyards as well as European customs agents to handle proof of export formalities in the Channel Islands as well as acting as Seller or Buyer representatives in Guernsey.

Duncan Swanson, principal and founder of Oceanskies said of the move, "in terms of location our new offices could not be located in a better position, the only down side is that I think our commanding views over the harbour will provide too much of a distraction!"
