Bermuda Yacht Registration

Bermuda is the oldest self-governing British colony consisting of 8 major islands and 130 smaller islands.

Although self-governing, the United Kingdom remains responsible for Bermuda’s defence, external affairs, internal security, and the administration of the police force.

The Government of Bermuda has operated a shipping register in Bermuda since 1789.

The Department of Maritime Administration operates a Category 1, British register that provides for the registration of ships of any size, age or type.

The port of registry in Bermuda is Hamilton.
