Oceanskies have published a guide to explain the obligations of yacht crew and the employers of yacht crew working onboard Malta registered yachts for the purpose of social security contributions.

The guide follows the attendance of Oceanskies at a recent attendance in Nice for the ECPY social security and French law conference by Tom Becker.

Tom Becker said, “we employ many seafarers working onboard Malta registered yachts and the responsible crew employment companies are properly registered as an employer in Malta for the purpose of making the relevant contributions”.

Our new guide also explains how Oceanskies can take responsibility for the employment and payment of crew on behalf of the yacht owner or yacht manager and provides a pricing menu for these services.

The guide can be accessed on the Oceanskies website at the following link:

For further information please do not hesitate to contact Tom Becker here at Oceanskies who is also a fluent French speaker.
